About STFU Sexists

Welcome! I’m Miss O, aka Augusta Christensen, and I’m a blogger, musician, and columnist for the Lawsonry Online Journal for Social Progress. I have a BA in Political Science from Swarthmore College, and as of September 2011 I’ll be living in Ithaca, NY. I’m brash, unapologetic, and have a mouth like a sailor, but my mother still loves my blog and I try to be all of these things without slurring any marginalized persons.

I started this blog in April 2010, and I intended it to be a humor blog in the vein of STFU Conservatives and STFU Parents. However, the blog quickly took a turn to some much more serious material, and also garnered a ton of support from the Tumblr community.

This blog is not always safe for work, and it also is not an academic representation of my beliefs. It is, however, a labor of love where a lot of important issues are discussed. I do not speak for all feminists, I only speak for myself. And trust me, I’m well aware that my personality and style are not everyone’s cup of tea. But I invite you to take a look around the blog anyway, there are gifs and pictures of cats!
