Allow me to be clear: I am fully opposed to attacking anyone simply on the basis of their religion or lack of religion

Allow me to be more clear, and clarify what I DO NOT believe is included in religious freedom.

Religious freedom DOES NOT MEAN that you can:

  • Restrict/deny the rights of others in accordance with your religious beliefs
  • Demand that everyone else believe like you do
  • Demand that the laws of a secular society reflect your religious beliefs, or obviously support a religion
  • Hide behind your religion as an excuse to act in a way that is bigoted and/or hateful

And honestly, from what I know about Christ, if you were actually a “true Christian” (whatever the hell that means), you wouldn’t be doing any of these things anyway. Being Christian is a privilege. Do everyone a favor and check yourself.
