An anonymous submitter writes, “It was really surreal and upsetting to discover that someone I love who also loves me (a relative) apparently does not think I should have full rights over my body (I’m at school elsewhere but I’m technically a Virginia resident).” The good news is that Virginia has shelved the Personhood amendment and is backpedaling on the mandatory vaginal ultrasound. But I can sympathize, it is always a disheartening blow when you learn that people you love and respect hold bigoted views.
